College Level Exam Program (CLEP)

The College Level Exam Program allows students to show proficiency in certain subject matter. We offer the online version of the CLEP exams, there are 33 tests available. College credits can be awarded if you get a minimum score on the test. Please check with your institution to see what exams they will accept and the minimum score you must achieve. See SPSCC’s CLEP acceptance policy.

The Assessment Center offers online scheduling and payment for CLEP exams as of Fall 2016. Candidates must FIRST register and pay for their CLEP examinations through clep.collegeboard.org. Once you have paid for your CLEP exam, you can  schedule a test time and pay our CLEP proctor fee online. To schedule a test time, go to RegisterBlast at least 48 hours prior to testing in order to ensure availability of an appointment time. There is limited seating and all appointments must be scheduled.

On RegisterBlast, follow the link for CLEP and then choose from available times on the calendar. There are no walk-in times for CLEP exams. You will need to bring your CLEP Registration ticket and your RegisterBlast receipt for proctor payment and a government issued photo ID with you when you come for your exam. We are located on the Mottman campus in Building 22, The Center for Student Success, Suite 201.
